Step 7 of 7 · Integration

Three honest paths.

No pitch. Just the truth.

You made it. Seven steps. Here's the honest part — the one I promised you on Step 1 instead of burying it.

This week you touched every piece of what Bearing actually does: a voice guide (Step 2), a privacy audit (Step 3), a five-question vendor trust screen (Step 4), a workflow map (Step 5), and a folder you own (Step 6). What's left is the question of who runs it.

Three honest paths. Pick one.

60-second action

Pick the path that fits. Then do the next step.

Path 1 — Do it yourself

Best for: owners who are technically curious, have 2–4 hours a week, and enjoy tinkering.

Run what you built this week in Claude or ChatGPT yourself. Paste your my-business/ folder at the start of every conversation. Add files as your business evolves. It won't run on autopilot — but it'll save you real hours, and you own every piece of it.

Next step: Bookmark getbearing.co and talk to the concierge anytime. It's running on the same kind of folder you just built — in my voice, with the same rules. Ask it anything about your business.

Path 2 — Wait

Best for: compliance-bound verticals — HIPAA (dental, medical), GLBA (financial services, lending), attorney-client privileged work.

Bearing's compliance tier isn't live yet. I'm not going to tell you to paste patient or client data into consumer AI — the liability is real. Wait for us to build the tier your vertical needs. In the meantime, don't use free-tier ChatGPT for regulated data. That's the only advice I can give you right now that doesn't get you sued.

Next step: Email me at nickoc123@gmail.com with your vertical in the subject line. I'll reach out when the tier's ready.

Path 3 — Hire Bearing

Best for: owners who'd rather run their business than run AI software. Want autopilot, not tinkering.

We take your folder and turn it into a full AI operating system — running your customer-facing work 24/7. Drafts replies in your voice. Handles inquiries on your flow. Escalates to you only when needed. You approve what ships. You own the folder. If you ever leave, you walk with everything.

Next step: Text me at (408) 893-6886 or book a 20-min call at cal.com/nick-o-connor-anpikk/bearing. I answer my own phone.

Still undecided? There's a Claude prompt below that'll ask you 3 questions and recommend one path. No hedging.

Still undecided? Let Claude pick for you.

I just finished a 7-day AI course for small business owners. I have a my-business/ folder with voice.md, flow.md, and customers.md. Three paths are on offer:

- DIY: I run the folder myself in Claude or ChatGPT. 2–4 hours per week. I tinker.
- Wait: I'm in a regulated vertical (HIPAA, attorney-client, GLBA financial). Bearing's compliance tier isn't ready yet.
- Hire Bearing: They run it for me. Autopilot.

Ask me 3 questions to figure out which path fits. The rules — don't break these:

- If I say yes to any regulated vertical (HIPAA, attorney-client, GLBA, lending, medical, legal), recommend Wait. No exceptions.
- If I can spend less than 1 hour per week on this, recommend Hire Bearing.
- Otherwise, base it on whether I want to run it myself or have someone else run it.

Ask one question at a time and wait for my answer. After 3 questions, recommend one path. No hedging, no "it depends," no "you could try both." Pick one and tell me why in 2 sentences.

Start with the first question now.

What you’ll get

A clear decision. That's the only thing I wanted you to have by Step 7.

Seven days. You showed up every one of them. That alone tells me something — most owners don't. You're the kind of person who's going to do very well with what's coming.

If you want to go deeper before deciding, the fastest next step is the live concierge at getbearing.co. It's running on the same kind of folder you just built, in my voice, with the same rules — including telling you honestly when Bearing isn't the right fit.

Or text me at (408) 893-6886. I answer my own phone. No AE. No SDR. Just me.

Whatever path you pick — thank you for spending a week with me. Keep going. You've got this.
